All file processing on FreeGhostTools (PDF conversion, image compression, background removal, and everything else) happens entirely within your browser using JavaScript. Your files are never uploaded to our servers or any third-party servers. Once you close the browser tab, all file data is discarded.

We do not require account registration and do not collect personally identifiable information. We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage data (such as page view counts) to understand how the site is used and improve it. This data cannot be used to identify you as an individual.

FreeGhostTools may use cookies or local storage to remember your preferences. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising beyond the standard behaviour of Google AdSense. You can manage cookies through your browser settings at any time.

Advertising — Google AdSense
FreeGhostTools displays advertisements provided by Google AdSense. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ad Settings. AdSense is the only ad network we use.

Third-party libraries
Some tools use CDN-hosted JavaScript libraries (such as PDF.js, pdf-lib, Chart.js, and Hugging Face Transformers) loaded from jsDelivr or unpkg. Only the library code is fetched from these CDNs — no file content is ever sent to them. These CDNs are subject to their own privacy policies.

Currency exchange rate API
The Currency Converter tool fetches live exchange rate data from the open.er-api.com public API. Only a request for exchange rate data is made — no personal information or file data is transmitted to this service.

Children's privacy
FreeGhostTools does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe your child has provided personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of FreeGhostTools after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
